Learn to Meditate
Ideal for beginning meditation students, this workshop provides a introduction to mindfulness-awareness (shamatha) practice. Includes meditation practice, talks, and discussion. (one hour)
Through the practice of meditation the mind can settle, clarify, and become strong and flexible. In this class, we will explore the technique of meditation and learn the elements for a strong practice: good sitting posture, how to relate to the breath, and what to do when thoughts come up. How does the practice of "calm abiding" enables us to uncover our inherent wakefulness and discover the delight of being human?
Class by donation- proceeds to benefit Thai monks. Sundays at 11.30AM, beginning February 3rd.
