Anatomy Course
Come delve beneath the skin to explore the pieces that make up our physical body. Go beyond "naming the muscles", "where they are located", and "which asanas stretch this or that". You will learn concepts that will surprisingly enrich your yoga practice by bringing more awareness and intelligence to your movement. When your body "gets it", you will be better able to express your teaching to your students.
In this course you will learn to speak the language of anatomy, and understand how key anatomical regions of the body relate to asana, as well as how asana can in turn affect the body |
 |
What you will learn:
- Mechanics of Movement - learn to truly understand how the body moves - how your body move. By understanding movement and learning to see blockages in movement, you can create balance, ease of movement and inherent strength and flexibility.
- The Nervous System - learn how the nerve / muscle communication works to avoid overzealous adjustment on your students.
- Anatomy basics - skeletal, muscular, digestive, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.
- Become proficient in identifying and understanding imbalances in your students practice.
